The teaser has sparked a fresh wave of excitement among fans worldwide, intensifying anticipation for the K-pop supergroup’s return after a prolonged hiatus.
The globally celebrated BTS lineup consists of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook. The group’s hiatus largely stemmed from mandatory military service obligations in South Korea. This March, however, they return to the stage with their long-awaited new album, Arirang, marking a highly anticipated comeback for millions of fans.
The Netflix special, “BTS The Comeback Live | Arirang”, is scheduled for 21 March 2026. The concert will take place in the heart of Seoul’s Gwanghwamun district, offering attendees and viewers a performance set against the majestic backdrop of the historic Gyeongbokgung Palace.
While the trailer reveals no new songs or major surprises, it provides fans with brief, tantalising glimpses of what to expect. Jung Kook, 28, shared, “It’s very emotional. I’ve truly missed our fans.” Jimin, 30, added, “Let’s get back on stage!” RM’s voiceover also reinforces their dedication: “We promised our fans we would return.” The trailer concludes with a snippet of their 2019 hit, Mikrokosmos, evoking nostalgia among the global ARMY.
Following the live stream, Netflix will release an intimate documentary titled “BTS: The Return” on 27 March, offering unprecedented insight into the album’s creation process and the band’s personal reflections.
BTS is also set to embark on their first full-scale world tour spanning 2026–2027, covering 79 cities across Asia, North America, Europe, Latin America, and Australia. The initial tour schedule is as follows:
