In the 74th edition of the world’s most prestigious and widely-followed beauty pageant, Miss Universe, Bangladesh is being proudly represented by model and actress Tanzia Zaman Mithila. After winning the crown of Miss Universe Bangladesh 2025 in September last year, she flew directly to Thailand towards the end of October to compete on the grand stage of the competition.
The preparations are currently underway, with grooming sessions and various important activities taking place. Contestants are battling it out to rise to the top, showcasing their talents, resilience, and confidence. Mithila, representing Bangladesh, is competing alongside representatives from 121 countries around the globe.
Thanks to her stellar performance and overwhelming public support, Mithila has garnered an impressive 73,000 votes in the Miss Universe voting process, placing her 5th on the global leaderboard. This achievement marks a rare moment of pride for Bangladesh, with such remarkable success on the international stage capturing widespread attention.
Expressing her emotions on social media, Mithila shared, “I am in tears, honestly, I don’t know what to say. With your priceless 73,000 votes, we are now 5th in the world. I don’t even know how to thank you all.” Her heartfelt post highlighted just how deeply she values this success for her country.
