Indian rapper Badshah and Punjabi actress Isha Rikhi have announced that they are ending their marriage, just five months after tying the knot.

The couple confirmed their separation through matching statements shared on their Instagram Stories on Monday night, 31 August. Their announcement brings an end to weeks of speculation about the state of their relationship, particularly after a series of social media posts drew attention in July.

Badshah and Isha reportedly married in March in an intimate ceremony. Details of the wedding were kept largely private, with the couple choosing not to make their personal life a major focus of public attention.

In his statement, Badshah said that he and Isha had mutually decided to part ways and continue their lives separately. He stressed that the decision had been taken with mutual respect and asked people to respect their privacy during the period.
