New Tracks Released to Celebrate Eid Musical Festivities

In keeping with annual festive traditions, the music industry in Bangladesh has unveiled an extensive array of new song releases to mark the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. The festive portfolio features a diverse blend of projects from legendary industry veterans alongside contemporary artists. These tracks are being distributed across major commercial production house networks as well as the independent YouTube channels of the respective musical artists. This comprehensive industry report details the major musical undertakings, collaborations, and releases scheduled for this Eid season.

Habib and Kaya Reunite After Two Decades

A prominent highlight of this festive season is the high-profile artistic reunion of music director Habib Wahid and folk vocalist Kaya. The duo previously generated widespread acclaim in 2003 with the seminal album Krishno, which pioneered the fusion of traditional Bangladeshi folk music with contemporary Western electronica and structural arrangements, featuring Kaya performing classic Baul tracks. This successful formula was maintained in their subsequent 2004 collaborative studio album Maya.

Following an extensive period of over two decades, the artists have converged once again for a new single titled “Koi Roila Re”. The collaborative track features additional contributions from the contemporary artist Muza. The music video is scheduled for official public release on 27 May on Habib Wahid’s official YouTube channel.

A substantial volume of solo and dual musical projects have been prepared specifically for the Eid festivities, spanning various genres and visual formats:

  • Imran’s “Mon Bujhla Na”: Vocalist Imran Mahmudul presents his latest single titled “Mon Bujhla Na”. The track was written and composed by Gunjan Chowdhury, with Imran executing the vocal performance and the full musical arrangement. It will be hosted on his personal YouTube channel.
