After nearly nine years, celebrated Bangladeshi singers Imran Mahmudul and Jarin Tasnim Naomi have reunited both on stage and in the recording studio, delighting fans across the nation. The two artists, who began their careers through Channel i’s musical reality show Shere Kontho and Khude Gaanraj, have once again joined voices for a new musical collaboration after a long hiatus.
Their first joint musical venture was the film soundtrack Hridayer Simana, followed by the 2015 hit song Anmona. The lyrics for Anmona were penned by Zahid Akbar, while Imran Mahmudul composed and arranged the music. The song’s music video was directed by Sakhawat Manik and released under the banner of CD Choice.
Currently residing permanently in Canada, Naomi recently returned to Bangladesh to record a new song with Imran. The recording took place on the night of 21 February 2026 at Imran Mahmudul’s private studio. The title of the song is yet to be finalised, but anticipation among fans is already high.
Speaking about the reunion, Imran Mahmudul said,
“After such a long time, Naomi returned to the country. These days, it’s not easy to get together, so I thought it would be wonderful to create a song with her. Just like our previous original tracks and film songs, I believe this will resonate with the audience. Fans have been asking for something new, and I hope we will be able to perform multiple songs together in the future.”
Naomi added,
“Imran has always stayed in touch, and I am grateful for that. I often reminisce about the early days of my career—they were truly beautiful. Now, returning to Bangladesh, Imran invited me to record this new song, and it has turned out beautifully. I am looking forward to creating more songs together and perhaps producing a few music videos in Canada as well.”
