Cheap Trick to Perform At Budokan in Full on Upcoming Tour

Cheap Trick has announced an exciting new addition to their All Washed Up tour, revealing that they will perform their legendary 1978 live album At Budokan in its entirety during two special shows in Las Vegas. The performances will take place at The Venetian Resort on April 17 and 18, 2025.

Released nearly 50 years ago, At Budokan is one of the most iconic live albums in rock history. Recorded at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, it remains Cheap Trick’s best-selling album and a staple of their legacy. The album was a surprise sensation, propelling the band to global fame and cementing their status as rock legends.

In addition to At Budokan, fans can expect a setlist that includes some of Cheap Trick’s other greatest hits. The Las Vegas shows will be part of the All Washed Up tour, which kicks off in January with two rescheduled dates in Madison, Wisconsin (January 24) and Waukee, Iowa (January 25), before hitting 19 other cities across the U.S.

This is not the first time Cheap Trick has offered a unique residency in Las Vegas. Previously, they performed a residency inspired by The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, playing the entire album live. And last month, they revisited At Budokan, recording the experience for a short film.

In the mid-‘70s, Cheap Trick was already a massive success in Japan, where they received an overwhelming “Beatlemania-type” reception. Their 1978 performance at the Budokan sold out, leading to the creation of the iconic live album that continues to resonate with fans to this day.
