As Thanksgiving approaches, live music in the Sarasota area may be quieter than usual this November, but there’s still plenty of exciting performances to enjoy. From Americana and bluegrass to progressive metal and blues, here are the top concerts happening this week:

- Damon Fowler (Tuesday, Englewoods on Dearborn): The blues-rock guitarist and singer, formerly of Anna Maria Island, returns to the area following the release of his critically acclaimed album Barnyard Smile.
- Terry Hanck (Wednesday, Englewoods on Dearborn): Known for his energetic saxophone skills, Hanck, who has earned Blues Music Awards, will perform songs from his latest album Grease to Gravy.
