As Thanksgiving approaches, live music in the Sarasota area may be quieter than usual this November, but there’s still plenty of exciting performances to enjoy. From Americana and bluegrass to progressive metal and blues, here are the top concerts happening this week:

Highlights:
Jordan Tice (Friday, Fogartyville): The Nashville-based Americana and bluegrass singer-songwriter will bring his thoughtful covers and original tracks from his EP Badlettsville. Tice is known for his collaborations with supergroup Hawktail.
Ashes & Arrows (Saturday, Fogartyville): This folk-rock band, which gained national attention on America’s Got Talent, returns to Sarasota with their debut album Chapter One (The Long Road North).
Anciients (Saturday, Oscura): This Canadian progressive metal group, winner of two Heavy Metal Album of the Year Juno Awards, will bring their intricate sound to Bradenton, joined by Nashville’s Howling Giant and local bands Spiritual Chaos and Parallel Motion.
Christie Leneé (Sunday, Fogartyville): A virtuoso acoustic guitarist, Leneé, a former International Fingerstyle Guitar Champion, will perform a mix of instrumental and vocal pieces, alongside multi-instrumentalist Katie Marie.
Damon Fowler (Tuesday, Englewoods on Dearborn): The blues-rock guitarist and singer, formerly of Anna Maria Island, returns to the area following the release of his critically acclaimed album Barnyard Smile.
Terry Hanck (Wednesday, Englewoods on Dearborn): Known for his energetic saxophone skills, Hanck, who has earned Blues Music Awards, will perform songs from his latest album Grease to Gravy.
