26th Latin Grammy Awards Take Centre Stage: Bad Bunny and Karol G Dazzle in Las Vegas

The 26th Latin Grammy Awards were held in grand fashion on 13 November at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The ceremony celebrated the most influential voices in Latin music, bringing together global superstars, emerging talents and industry legends. This year, the Argentinian duo Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso dominated the evening, securing a remarkable five awards, making them the most decorated artists of the night.

The duo triumphed across multiple categories, including Best Alternative Music Album, Best Alternative Song, Best Pop Song, Best Short Form Music Video, and Best Long Form Music Video. Their producers, Rafa Arcaute and Federico Vindver, were also recognised with the prestigious Producer of the Year award, further highlighting the creative strength behind the project.

Meanwhile, Bad Bunny reaffirmed his ongoing influence in Latin music, taking home two major awards: Best Urban Performance and Best Reggaeton Performance. With 12 nominations, he was the most nominated artist of the year, demonstrating his continued dominance across multiple genres.

One of the evening’s standout moments came when Alejandro Sanz received Record of the Year for “Palmeras En El Jardín.” In his acceptance speech, he playfully turned to Bad Bunny, saying, “Benito, I stole it—please forgive me,” eliciting warm laughter throughout the audience.

The Best New Artist award was given to the Mexican singer Paloma Mami, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to listeners and supporters who had encouraged her journey from the very beginning.

The ceremony also featured a series of spectacular performances. Karol G and Marco Antonio Solís debuted their emotional duet “Coleccionando Heridas”, receiving widespread acclaim. Additional performances by Rauw Alejandro, Maluma, and Pepe Aguilar added to the evening’s excitement, showcasing the richness and diversity of Latin music.

Broadcast live through Univision, UNIMÁS and ViX, the event was co-hosted by Maluma and Roselyn Sánchez. This year’s Person of the Year honour was awarded to the celebrated Spanish singer Raphael, recognising his decades-long contribution to the Latin music landscape.
