Last month, the renowned Bangladeshi singer Sabina Yasmin was hospitalised due to illness. However, she has now recovered significantly. In the midst of this, singer Asif Akbar has shared exciting news for her fans.
Asif has announced that, in celebration of Bangladesh’s Independence Day, he is set to release a new patriotic song with Sabina Yasmin, titled “Amar Potaka Lal Shobuje Aka”. Although they have previously sung together for Bangladeshi films, this will be their first audio duet.
The song’s lyrics have been penned by Moniruzzaman Monir, with composition and music arrangement by Monowar Hossain Tutul, and the music video is being directed by Soikat Reza.
This evening, Asif shared on social media, “To mark our glorious Independence Day, we are releasing the song ‘Amar Potaka Lal Shobuje Aka.’ This duet features the living legend of Bangladeshi music, the respected Sabina Yasmin Apa, and I have had the honour of accompanying her.”
He further added, “Although I have sung several duets with Sabina Apa for films, this is our first audio song together. Her singing remains as pure and authentic as ever. With its meaningful lyrics, melody, and composition, this song will be a valuable addition to Bangladesh’s patriotic music collection.”
